Strangers arrive in the dead of night in a small and isolated Brazilian village. They look menacing. They don’t speak to anyone. Their reasons are unknown. Gradually, they start changing the city. They observe the locals. Occupy their spaces. Start imposing their authority through persuasion and intimidation. And they start building a factory on the other side of the river. No one knows what it will produce.

Two teenagers decide to figure out what’s happening. He’s an observant and agile boy who can be seen running around pretty much every corner of the village. She’s an imaginative deaf girl, who watches the entire town through the window of her room on the second floor. The two of them communicate through their windows as they start their investigation into the strangers and their silent motives. They will have to face the strangers’ peril, their own limitations and the city’s conformism in order to find the truth.
